Dr. Alexey Vagov, Director of the Center, took part in the International Russia—Brazil Partnership Day, organized at the Higher School of Economics jointly with the Brazilian Embassy in Moscow on October 14.
This event launched the First Brazilian academic and scientific Mission in Russia, and one of its results was the signing of cooperation agreements between the Higher School of Economics and four Brazilian universities.
Nikita Anisimov, Rector of the Higher School of Economics, opened the first Brazilian academic mission in Russia, which began with the International Russia—Brazil Partnership Day.As N.Y. Anisimov noted, HSE has developed an integrated approach to the study of Brazil. HSE participates in all thematic areas of the project for the development of cooperation between Brazil, Russia and Belarus in the field of research, teaching, innovation, science and technology (Academic and STI Cooperation Brazil — Russia — Belarus), initiated by the Brazilian Embassy in Russia.
The HSE Rector expressed his conviction that the holding of the International Partnership Day will create even more favorable conditions for academic exchanges, scientific developments, and increasing the level of interaction between Russian and Brazilian scientists. The presentation highlighted the experience of scientific cooperation between scientists of the Center for Quantum Metamaterials and their Brazilian colleagues.
The meeting was also addressed by Vice Rector of the Higher School of Economics Victoria Panova, who told the guests about the projects implemented by the Higher School of Economics in the year of Russia's presidency of the BRICS, as well as the Director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and rectors of universities in Brazil.
The opening of the Russia—Brazil International Partnership Day ended with the ceremony of exchanging signed agreements on cooperation between the Higher School of Economics and leading Brazilian universities.
