Dr. Mauro Melchiades Doria, professor Instituto de Física, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has presented a lecture for all the students and employees of MIEM
Dr. Mauro Doria, recognized specialist in the field of new superconducting materials, has held an interesting scientific event for all MIEM employees and students - a lecture "The Origin of the Dirac Linear Spectrum and Topology "
Professor Dr. Mauro Doria, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, has visited the Center for Quantum Metamaterials, June 2-10,2023.
The main goal of this scientific visit was a joint research with scientists working at the Center, in particular, with Professor A. Shanenko and Professor A. Vagov. Professor Doria has also given a seminar at the MIEM HSE, where he talked about his recent work on new materials with non-trivial topological properties.
The entire range of scientific research of the Center was presented at the "8th International Conference on Superconductivity and Magnetism ICSM 2023" in Turkey
The scientists of the Centre for Quantum Metamaterials , Professors A. Shanenko, M. Croitoru and A. Krasavin, and PhD students A. Lukyanov and V. Neverov took part in the international conference "8th Conference on Superconductivity and Magnetism ICSM2023", held in Fethiye (Turkey) , May 4-11, 2023.
Research assistants of the Center presented poster presentations at the International Symposium "Nanophysics and Nanoelectronics" in Nizhny Novgorod
Their presentation "Correlated disorder - a way to improve the characteristics of superconductors", has theoretically justified the approach which allows to significantly improve superconducting characteristics by using materials with spatially correlated disorder.
